7 Essential Tips for the Upcoming Festival Season

Alright, superstar -
it’s time to break out that flower crown and make a fool of yourself again.
Festival season is upon us
and we’re sure you’re revving to go,
but first you might want to consider a few of these tips
before you start collecting bracelets.

1. Identification
Best get this one out of the way first: NO PASSPORT = NO ENTRY. Remember, it’s China, so you’ll need to have proper I.D and no, a student card or license won’t cut it.

2. Dress to Express
Think: outlandish, glittery, bizarre, and basically the polar opposite of what you’d wear to a Tinder date. Have fun with it; festivals are places of acceptance and creativity!

3. Be practical
Don’t lose any valuables, because at a crowded festival you're likely to never see them again. When contemplating your outfit this year maybe consider: Halloween meets IKEA. Festival-chic with practical pockets. Heck…why not dust off the fanny-pack/bum-bag! Comfy footwear is also key.

4. H20
Drink lots of water or suffer the wrath of the Festival Gods (dehydration). If you’ve got a CamelBak then you’ll be golden, assuming you fill it with water. For real though, lots of people and warm temperatures means you gotta stay safe! *Bonus tip: sunscreen doesn’t hurt either!

5. Rainproof yourself
There’s a solid chance of rain, y'know, with it being spring and all. Keep your passport, phone, power bank, face-paint, and all things you deem important dry. Nothing is more stylish than a lovely poncho to cover up your fanny-pack in the event of a downpour.

6. Stay with your friends
Why does every friend group contain one person that you always manage to lose? This festival season, don’t be that friend. Use the buddy system; always stay with at least one amigo. Otherwise, good luck finding them on your way back from the porta potty.

7. Be Free!
Let loose, you’re a zombie in dress clothes 5 days a week. Here’s your chance to dance like no bouncer is watching and to sing like it’s KTV at 4 AM. There’s always at least one other person that will seem more ridiculous than you.
