So last month was a great one for cinema. Paddington and Big Hero 6 were ruddy heart-warming, Cinderella was far better than expected and both Jupiter Ascending and Taken 3 gave us a bit of much needed action and sex appeal.

But enough of March, that is so last month... ahem..

We are moving into April, that AWESOME time of year when it gets warmer but not too warm, and just before the rains of May and June come down and make us wet and angry (in Shanghai where our office is based anyway!). Along with the nice weather (not provided by us) we are bringing you lots of action, comedy and films for the kids to keep you entertained on those days when all you want to do is go to the cinema.

Here's a look at what we have in store for you lovely China dwellers in April '15 - enjoy!

Starring: Nicolas Cage, Hayden Christensen

Release date: 3rd April

When the heir of the Imperial throne becomes the target of an assassination by his despised older brother, the young prince must flee the kingdom and seek protection. His only hope for survival is a reluctant war-weary crusader named Jacob, who must overcome his own personal demons and rally the assistance of a mythical outlaw known as The White Ghost. Together they must fight side by side in an epic battle to return the prince to his rightful place on the throne. (From IMDB)

OK - so the plot is kind of crazy, but this has got to be good for some action and, yes perhaps some laughs... intended or not. However, having watched the trailer for this a couple of times it has to be said that Outcast promises some pretty awesome battle scenes and maybe even some kung fu - who knows?!

Thunder and the House of Magic

Starring: Cinda Adams, George Babbit, Murray Blue

Release date: 4th April

Thunder, an abandoned young cat seeking shelter from a storm, stumbles into the strangest house imaginable, owned by an old magician and inhabited by a dazzling array of automatons and gizmos (from IMDB).

If you're just looking to watch a fairly lighthearted kid movie, this one shouldn't disappoint, with lovable characters and adventure.

Furious 7

Starring: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson

Release date: 12th April

Dominic Torretto and his crew thought they left the criminal mercenary life behind. They defeated an international terrorist named Owen Shaw and went their seperate ways. But now, Shaw's brother, Deckard Shaw is out killing the crew one by one for revenge. Worse, a Somalian terrorist called Jakarde, and a shady government official called "Mr. Nobody" are both competing to steal a computer terrorism program called God's Eye, that can turn any technological device into a weapon. Torretto must reconvene with his team to stop Shaw and retrieve the God's Eye program while caught in a power struggle between terrorist and the United States government. (From IMDB)

If you want less story, more car chases, ridiculously macho action, violence and beautiful women then Furious 7 is the film for you. This film is so jam packed with explosions, cars and hot girls it makes it's pre-deccessors look like the Paddington movie.

Starring: Jonny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor

Release date: 17th April

Juggling angry Russians, the British Mi5, and an international terrorist, debonair art dealer and part time rogue Charlie Mortdecai (Depp) races to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain a code that leads to lost Nazi gold. (From IMDB)

Jonny Depp plays an inept James Bond type spy who has to save the world, whilst trying to get his wife to kiss him despite his ridiculous moustache. This is a good mood film that's guaranteed to put a smile on your face!

Starring: Jim Parsons, Rihanna, Steve Martin

Release date: 24th April

Oh, an alien on the run from his own people, lands on Earth and makes friends with the adventurous Tip, who is on a quest of her own. (From IMDB)

Dreamworks doing there usual thing and as per, not dissapointing. A great family film with an annoying young alien who lands on earth and befriends a human called Tip. A barrel of laughs and no doubt some tear jerking, this film will be fun for all the family.

So there you have it folks! Have an awesome month and we'll be back next month with a film list for May!

Pete, Anna, Greig, Ronnie and the rest of the 247 team.
