Next month on the weekend of April 11th and 12th, the fastest show on earth rolls into town. There will be glamour parties, millionaires galore, the whole world’s media, but most importantly, the incredibly talented, insanely fast stars of Formula 1.
This weekend the 2015 season kicks off in Melbourne, Australia, with British reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton beginning the defense of his crown against a myriad of talent, including teammate and last season’s runner up Nico Rosberg, and several former world champions in Kimi Raikkonen, Seb Vettel and Jenson Button.

Fernando Alonso doesn’t make that list unfortunately, as the F1 world witnessed first-hand the extreme dangers of the sport when he crashed in practice last month, ruling him out of the first race. Expect him back by the Shanghai race though, as hungry as ever.
Shanghai International Circuit is a short hop from the city along line 11 to its own designated subway stop, and with ticket prices some of the cheapest on the whole calendar, now is far and away the best time to get up close and personal with these incredible V8 engines, the smell of burning rubber, and a noise so piercing even spectators are advised to take security measures.
